Another Tech Industry Union? It seems that Sega employees have filed for union election, with the NLRB. They will be known as AEGIS-CWA under the CWA umbrella. This is exciting to me, as a 40-something tech worker. All of my life I have grown and evolved in my career in software and have not seen labor evolve in similar fashions. I distinctly remember telling people, “I work in tech, we’re not unionized for some reason.

Starbucks leader grilled by Senate over anti-union actions In an interesting development during the ongoing Starbucks anti-union/labor practice story, the Senate has been grilling the leader. Of note, of course, is Sanders’ discussion - and frankly he’s the only one who seems like he’s been consistent. “The fundamental issue we are confronting today is whether we have a system of justice that applies to all, or whether billionaires and large corporations can break the law with impunity,” Sanders said.
